Student Presentation
David Steines is a graduate student in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. He is supported by a National Science Foundation IGERT Fellowship in neuroengineering, and studies Brain-Computer Interfaces under the direction of Todd Coleman and Tim Bretl in the BCI Lab at the Beckman Institute. David combines techniques from cognitive electrophysiology and optimal control theory to develop novel Brain-Computer Interfaces that exploit neural signals derived from human error processing and reinforcement learning systems in the brain.
