"Distributed Averaging and Consensus Dynamics in Random Environment"

In this talk, we we consider distributed averaging and consensus in a random environment. Under some general conditions, we characterize necessary and sufficient conditions for stability of such dynamics. Then, we discuss some of the implications of these results to problems from distributed averaging and opinion dynamics in social networks.
