Speaker Biography:

  • Behrouz Touri received his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Isfahan University of Technology, Isfahan, Iran in 2006, his M.S. degree in Communications, Systems & Electronics from Jacobs University, Bremen, Germany in 2008, and his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2011. He is currently a post-doctoral research associate with the Coordinated Science Laboratory at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. His research interests include study of random dynamics in complex networks, decentralized optimization, control, and estimation, coding theory, and optimization theory. He is a finalist for the best student paper award of the IEEE Conference on Decision and Control 2010. His PhD thesis is recently chosen to be published by Springer in its distinguished theses series.
